Mohammad is the Principal Solicitor and Director of MK Legal Group. Mohammad specialises in Dispute Resolution, Litigation and Insurance. He has over 15 years of combined experience in debt recoveries, insurance litigation and dispute resolution.

Prior to becoming a solicitor, Mohammad spent over 10 years serving the needs of both commercial and insurance clients in the areas of litigation, dispute resolution and recoveries. Mohammad has worked with and assisted some of Australia’s largest insurers, smaller insurers, underwriters, hire vehicle companies as well as commercial clients.

Mohammad is familiar with and has conducted litigation and dispute resolution in all Australian jurisdictions.

Mohammad’s aim is to maximise business revenue for his clients and decrease business costs by providing cost-effective and quality legal services.

Nathan

Nathan Haynes

Associate

Nathan is an Associate at MK Legal Group.

Nathan holds a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice, a Bachelor of Laws (with Honours) and a Bachelor of Arts from Monash University.

His primary focus is insurance litigation and dispute resolution. He also has substantial experience in commercial, family, and criminal law. This diverse background allows Nathan to provide comprehensive legal support to his clients.

Nathan aims to achieve positive and cost-effective outcomes for his clients by taking a practical approach to legal proceedings.

Nathan is a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria and the High Court of Australia. In his spare time, Nathan likes to work in his garage and do a bit of landscaping.

Joanna is a Solicitor at MK Legal Group.

Joanna holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Business, majoring in Banking and Finance, from Victoria University, together with a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from Leo Cussen Centre for Law. She was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Victoria in 2025.

Her Honours dissertation examined the proposed Digital Identity Bill 2024, analysing how technological innovation can be advanced while safeguarding fundamental rights, with particular emphasis on privacy, voluntariness, and effective oversight.

Joanna chose to study law from a genuine desire to help clients, using her skills to navigate complex legal processes and achieve fair, practical outcomes.

Her practice focuses on insurance law, litigation, and dispute resolution. She is committed to providing clear, practical, and commercially minded advice to help clients achieve efficient and cost-effective outcomes, with a strong attention to detail.

Outside of her legal work, Joanna enjoys exploring Melbourne’s café scene and spending time with family and friends.

Ibrahim Doruk

Paralegal

Ibrahim is a diligent and dedicated law student. He is passionate about the law and has a strong focus on litigation.

He aims to develop his legal knowledge and soon practice as a solicitor.

Ibrahim is a dedicated Law Clerk at MK Legal Group and is a third-year Bachelor of Laws and Commerce (Economics) student at Deakin University.

Ibrahim supports the legal team by assisting with research, drafting, and case preparation.

He is passionate about the law and has a strong focus on litigation. He aims to develop his legal knowledge and soon practice as a solicitor.

In his spare time, Ibrahim likes to read books and spend time with friends and family.

Obeir Kashefi

Systems Administrator

Obeir is the System Administrator of MK Legal Group. Obeir has been working in the insurance sector for 5 years.

Obeir handles all information technology-related work at MK Legal Group and is the first point of contact for all incident resolution.

Before becoming a Systems Administrator at MK Legal Group, Obeir spent many years in insurance claims and customer resolution before moving into information technology within a large insurance company.

Obeir aims to maximise cyber security, technology development and automation at MK Legal Group, to ensure both a secure and efficient environment for both the clients and the internal team.

In his spare time, Obeir likes to fish and play computer games.
